Technical
A high quality slimline LED picture light with great quality of light.
Getting the right solution to lighting artwork is something we at Brilliant Lighting are very passionate about. We offer a range of picture lights: the Slimline 24v version is very discrete, or alternatively for particularly large or fine art we have developed the bespoke Artview picture light . Alternatively a miniature single spot on curved arm can be a neat and very high quality solution for smaller canvases.
Fixing Options
Brackets are either fixed to the wall or directly to the back of the picture. These allow the LED picture light to be height adjustable, and it gives you more flexibility around cabling. You don't need to decide in advance what size of picture you're going to hang in that particular location.
It also enables you to locate the driver behind the picture (see below for more information).
LED Colour Options
2700K - a lovely warm white, generally recommended.
3000K - still a warm white, but slightly cooler. Potentially an option for a painting with 'cool' colours, and when the wider ambient lighting is fairly cool coloured.
Driver Options
N.B. To be used with 24V constant voltage LED Drivers and Controllers.
Each picture light needs either:
- A Non-dim (switched) driver. These are what we typically use with this picture light. You just need a standard 240v power supply to the driver.
- A 0-10v dimming driver - by special request. Please call if you'd like to specify a 0-10v driver. It needs a 0-10v cable between the driver and a 0-10v dimmer, in addition to the 240v power supply.
Both types of driver need to be located within 10m of the picture light. The driver is typically located behind the picture, either tucked in behind the frame or in a double backbox recessed in to the wall. Alternatively, the driver may be located up to 10m away, somewhere ventilated and accessible.
