I want to install on staircase its 2.5m long and will need 6 lights. can I run these fromm one driver whats the max length of cable?

Yes with either the 350mA or 500mA option on the LD42A fittings you can run 6 x fittings from one driver, the fittings would need to be wired in series and the driver can be loacted up to 10m away.
