TXDEL350/500/700DALI - DALI dimmable Constant Current Driver.  

LEDs use specific drivers to run them, they are different from normal low voltage fittings in that they must be wired in series and need a constant current.  They may be located 10 metres from a luminaire, with an ‘in series’ wiring method required.

DALI drivers (such as this one) need two types of cable coming from the dimming module: one to carry power and one to carry the DALI signal.  The power cable is straightforward and is whatever the electrician would normally use, and then in addition to this a mains rated 1.5mm cable is used to carry the DALI signal. Although you need two types of cable (for power + DALI) between the dimming module and the driver, you only need one type (power) between the driver and the LED fittings. For more details on dimming by DALI please see our 'Technical Buyers Guide'  

Single LED fittings 

If using dedicated LED fitting 1.2W/350mA or 1.7W/500mA drivers will run 1 - 14 fittings

If using dedicated LED fitting 2.4W/700mA drivers will run 1 - 13 fittings

2 x Single LED fittings

If using a dedicated LED fitting 2.4W/350mA or 3.4W/500mA drivers will run 1-7 x fittings 

If using a dedicated LED fitting 4.8W/700mA drivers will run 1 - 6 x fittings 

3 Cluster LED fittings 

If using dedicated LED fitting 3.6W/350mA or 5.1W/500mA drivers will run 1 - 4 fittings 

4 Chip LED fittings 

If using dedicated LED fitting 5W/350mA or 7W/500mA drivers will run 1 - 4 fittings
